About Brisbane Family Therapy Clinic
Brisbane Family a Therapy Clinic provides a high standard of professional psychotherapy, couple therapy and family therapy services to clients who are either self-referred or referred by medical practitioners or other professionals. The Clinic accepts referrals concerning a wide range of presenting problems. Approximately one third of referrals to the clinic are for individual adults experiencing mental health difficulties or complex life problems, one third are for couple therapy, and one third are for problems associated with the behaviour or mental health of a child or adolescent, or other family relationship problems.
Practitioners within Brisbane Family Therapy Clinic work intensively with clients, and, where necessary, with referrers and other involved professionals, to strive toward the resolution of presenting problems.
Brisbane Family Therapy Clinic helps hundreds of individuals, couples and families each year with problems such as:
- Panic Attacks
- Other mental illness such as bipolar affective disorder and schizophrenia
- Couple relationship problems
- Child behaviour problems
- Family conflict &
- Parenting challenges
No referral is necessary to access services at Brisbane Family Therapy Clinic. Medicare rebates are available however, if a client is referred by a General Practitioner under a Mental Health Care Plan, or by a psychiatrist or paediatrician. Referral eligibility is always determined by your doctor.
BFTC also offers consultancy, supervisory and training services to other mental health and human service professionals and organisations. Please contact reception if you have any enquiries about these services. Training events are advertised on the website and online registration is available.
